Rapidfile Upload API and Media

File uploads for your apps and hosting for your images and videos, delivered from cdn.rapidfile.cc. Both are part of the Dev plans: the same sign-in, and the limits of your Enzonic plan.

Rapidfile Upload API

Uploads for the apps you build, in the style of UploadThing: from 100 GB of storage on the Starter plan.

  • Signed upload URLs

    Your server calls POST /v1/uploads with its secret key and returns a signed URL. The browser uploads straight to storage; the key never leaves your server.

  • Large files in parts

    Files up to 95 MB upload in one PUT; larger files switch to multipart upload automatically, up to your plan's file size limit.

  • Signed webhooks

    file.uploaded and file.deleted events reach your endpoint with an HMAC-SHA256 signature you can verify.

  • Public or private files

    Public files get a permanent CDN link. Private files get signed links that expire within seven days.

Your server: create an upload
const res = await fetch('https://api.rapidfile.cc/v1/uploads', {
  method: 'POST',
  headers: {
    Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.RAPIDFILE_KEY}`,
    'Content-Type': 'application/json',
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({ name: 'avatar.png', size: 48213, type: 'image/png' }),
});
return Response.json(await res.json()); // { file, upload }
The browser: upload with sdk.js
import { uploadFile } from 'https://api.rapidfile.cc/sdk.js';

const file = await uploadFile(input.files[0], {
  getUpload: (f) => fetch('/api/upload', { method: 'POST', body: JSON.stringify({ name: f.name, size: f.size, type: f.type }) }).then((r) => r.json()),
  onProgress: (p) => console.log(p),
});
console.log(file.url); // https://cdn.rapidfile.cc/<id>/avatar.png

Rapidfile Media

Image, video and audio hosting with a share page, an embeddable player and a direct CDN link for every file.

The Rapidfile Media home page on media.rapidfile.cc
  • Images: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and AVIF
  • Video: MP4, WebM and QuickTime, with a poster frame
  • Audio: MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV and WebM
  • Public or unlisted files, with view counts
  • A JSON API to upload and manage media from your own tools

Embeds work anywhere that accepts an iframe, and links unfurl with a preview.

Limits per plan

The Free column is Rapidfile's own free plan. Paid Enzonic plans raise every limit; Rapidfile always applies the higher of your Enzonic limits and your own Rapidfile plan.

Questions

Do I need a separate Rapidfile account?

No. Rapidfile uses the same Enzonic sign-in. When your Enzonic plan is paid, Rapidfile applies its Upload API and Media limits to your account automatically, or your own Rapidfile plan if that is higher.

What happens on the Free plan?

You can use Rapidfile's own free plan with the limits shown in the table. The larger limits start with the Starter plan.

Are uploaded files scanned?

Yes. Uploaded files are scanned for malware, and a file is not delivered from the CDN until its scan has finished.

What happens to my files if I downgrade?

They are kept. Your account falls back to the limits of your own Rapidfile plan at the end of the paid period.
